Why I started Valkyrie Family Financial Counseling
For many families, money is one of the biggest sources of stress in their lives.

Not because they’re irresponsible.
But because no one ever taught them how to navigate it.
Over time, I began to notice something important: when people struggle with money, the conversation is often reduced to numbers. Budgets. Debt totals. Spreadsheets.
But money struggles are rarely just about math.
They’re about stress.
They’re about fear.
They’re about feeling like you’re failing at something everyone else seems to understand.
And when people feel that way, they often avoid their finances altogether.
I started Valkyrie Family Financial Counseling because I believe families deserve something different.
They deserve a place where they can talk about money without shame.
A place where they can slow down, understand what’s really happening in their finances, and begin to build a path forward.
The name Valkyrie comes from Norse mythology. Valkyries were guides and protectors. They entered chaotic situations and helped lead people safely through them.
That image stayed with me.
Because for many families, money feels chaotic. Confusing. Overwhelming.
My goal is to help bring clarity to that chaos.
Not with judgment.
Not with complicated financial jargon.
But with patient guidance, practical tools, and honest conversations about how money affects our lives and families.
